The Arts Council of Princeton’s summer camps are in full swing and we’ve had the pleasure of welcoming hundreds of energized campers, ages 5-16. The time has flown by since the start of camp in June, but there is still so much more fun to be had, and creativity to be explored, until our camp concludes on September 1st. This summer’s camps have brought an air of excitement into the Paul Robeson Center’s halls and studios, along with the echoing sounds of laughter as art and friendships are being made.
In the past five weeks, we’ve enjoyed an incredibly wide variety of artistic expression from our campers. For example, we were treated to a fabulous fashion show from our Fashion Week tween campers who created handmade, unique outfits. Seeing their drawings and designs come to life was amazing. We’ve also had the pleasure of sitting in the audience for all of the original productions put together by our drama camps. It was a thrill for parents, fellow campers, and staff alike to see what the “actors” scripted and practiced all week! The phrase, “Kids say the darndest things” is an understatement…
All of our campers continue to impress us with their creativity and execution in ceramics, digital art, pottery, landscape art, print making, Claymation, photography, watercolor art, 3D paper-making, and so much more!
If you are looking for a unique, high-quality arts experience for your child, tween or teenager this summer, look no further than the Arts Council of Princeton’s summer camps. Each session provides a wonderful opportunity to encourage artistic expression in our youngest campers to our experienced teens.
The Arts Council is committed to providing individualized attention to each child, while fostering collaborative efforts such as group artwork to be exhibited in our Taplin Gallery. We have a low camper-to-staff ratio, provide a fun and safe environment (First Aid and CPR certified staff on-site), have state-of-the-art facilities fully stocked with various mixed media supplies for the broad range of creative art projects inspired by the particular theme or subject. The ACP is proud to have a universal and diverse group of campers, (some even coming from overseas), that become immersed in the studio and quickly develop friendships, language skills, and confidence that last long after the summer ends.
Register today and soon your child will be creating art, making new friends, and getting inspired this summer! Please do not hesitate to contact our team with any questions by email or phone by calling 609.924.8777.
Hope to see you soon!
