We’re back at it again!
Communiversity ArtsFest 2019 will bring you the ultimate celebration of all things colorful, entertaining, and original in life! Join us on Sunday, April 28, 2019, from 1-6pm in Downtown Princeton for the 49th anniversary of the biggest outdoor arts festival of the year.
This largest and longest running cultural event began in 1970, then known as the “Art People’s Party.” From an intimate triumph on the lawn of Nassau Hall, the festivities have grown into the renowned town-and-gown featuring more than 225 booths showcasing original art and contemporary crafts, unique merchandise, and culinary masterpieces from local chefs.
With art-making and appreciation as the heart of Communiversity ArtsFest, enjoy hands-on, make-and-take activities on Palmer Square Green with creating Trash Hats, along with watercolor, drawing, and clay projects. Stay for live art demonstrations, including wood stain painting, as well as the 20+ year tradition of Chalk Murals!
Talented painters are also invited to engage in plein air painting in the midst of the event. These esteemed artists will be dispersed around downtown Princeton with their easels to capture the moment, mood, and magic of Communiversity ArtsFest. Be apart of Paint Out Princeton at Communiversity!
Seven stages of live non-stop music and performances will provide the soundtrack to this vibrant Sunday. Returning favorites include The Blue Meanies and Lisa Botalico Fiesta Flamenco. Acts including The Dirtee Blondes and Switch Mob will join as new performers.
This year’s Communiversity ArtsFest would not be possible without the generous support of sponsors, including AT&T, Baker Auto, Palmer Square Princeton, and Princeton Garden Theater. Check out a full list of this year’s sponsors!
