SAGE in Princeton

On Sunday, Sept.14th…after months of anticipation, Luv-1 and I produced our “underground railroad”/quilt mural at the Arts Council of Princeton. Our friend Ricardo Barros, whom we have known for many years, reached out to us about this project several months ago. He explained that the area for the mural is rather small, but that it would be a huge accomplishment. Since most of our work is within the inner-city, he said, this mural would help bridge the two art communities of Princeton and Trenton. Luv

My name is Kathy Metaxas and I am an artist working in printmaking, papermaking and book arts. I began instructing at the Arts Council of Princeton in 2012 and the next year was awarded the Katherine M. Kapoor Artist Award. Past What a fun summer! I had the pleasure of leading tweens and teens in several camp activities, including Paper & Print, Carving Prints and Japanese Woodblock Printmaking.
