Paint Out: Communiversity

Art al Fresco!
Join us for the Arts Council’s continuing Paint Out Princeton program in connection with Communiversity, Festival of the Arts! The large crowds who come to this event each year will be invited to visit and observe artists at work! Pre-registration is requested. Registration is exclusively through the Arts Council of Princeton. To register, email your name and preferred designated location (Hinds Plaza, Palmer Square Green, Tiger Park, stage-side at Chamber Street, or University Campus) to info@artscouncilofprinceton.org by 5pm on Friday, April 11, 2014. Space is limited and registration is on a first-come, first-serve basis. Registrations will be accepted in the order in which they are received. Alla Prima Painting: W/S (May)

These 3-day workshops focus on mastering three aspects of technique in oil painting: the palette, the canvas, and the set-up. More specifically, these workshops will cover palette organization, control of color in tonal painting, alla prima painting technique, use of mediums, various grounds, how to set-up a still life, composition, and learning to see in abstract terms. Each day will consist of a 1-hour lecture and demonstration, followed by painting time with one-on-one instruction.
Class size is limited to 8 students.
Bring a snack and beverage to enjoy during breaks.
Meets Fri 5/2 2-6pm; Sat 5/3 2-6pm; and Sun 5/4 10am-2pm.

MASS assembly

MASS assembly is an exhibition that presents the work of four New Jersey artists who have taken mass-produced, discarded materials and transformed them into artworks that provide commentary and reflections on our materialistic, consumer-oriented society.
