Pinot to Picasso Tombola Preview Artists' Reception

- FREE & Open to the public

Join us as we present the beautiful artwork that 90 lucky Tombola ticket holders will be able to choose from when their number is called at Pinot to Picasso on April 18. The artwork, by 90 distinctive and talented local artists, will be on display in the Taplin Gallery through April 16 before being moved to the event site. Free and open to the public.

A movie doesn’t just tell a story, it shows a story. If you could show the whole world a story, how would it make? Bright and cheery? Fast-paced and full of changes in scene? With what visual would it start and end? You’ve probably spent countless hours watching movies – now’s your chance to show others how you want them to see the world.

Steps
1. Learn digital video basics
2. Film. Then, film some more . . .
3. Pick the perfect subject
4. Action!
5. Edit and premiere your movie

Monet: Watershed [AM]

Join local artist and ACP instructor Libby Ramage in a one-day workshop inspired by the work of Claude Monet and his paintings from his gardens at Giverny. In each section, Libby will lead the group in completing a mural which will hang at the Watershed and instruct in individual works to be taken home. Join us and help design a beautiful new mural featuring your child’s work and take home butterfly art work for your own garden!

This workshop is part of ACP’s Saturday Sampler for kids at the Watershed. Register for one, two, or all three (for the most fun!). Art classes meet in the Watershed Center of Stony Brook-Millstone Watershed Association. The Watershed Center is the new LEED platinum environmental center of the Stony Brook-Millstone Watershed Association. Located on the Watershed Reserve in Hopewell Township, the center showcases sustainable energy features such as a green roof, geothermal heating and cooling and an innovative wastewater wetland.
