Read and be Read

Read and be Read, co-sponsored by the Princeton Public Library, Arts Council of Princeton’s Anne Reeves Summer Artist-in-Residence, Faraz Khan, will paint a bookcase on the spine of books with acrylic and ink resulting in a unique work of art with Arabic calligraphy. He will discuss the work and answer questions while painting, which will take a full-day to complete.

Princeton Public Library, 65 Witherspoon Street, Princeton, NJ. This event is free and open to the public.

Flash Animation: Weekend

Do you love cartoons? Would you like to create your own short animation? In this weekend workshop, students will learn how to design and animate their own animated short using their own characters. Each day, from start to finish, we will use Adobe Flash to create storyboards, character designs, and animation. We will cover design, keyframing, lipsync and tweening to use Flash to create your own animated short. Students will need a flash drive or a blank CD to save their files. At the end of the course, each student will have their own short animation to take home and show to friends and family.

The Bruce Berenson Fund for Photography provides scholarships for photography students with financial need. Stone Soup Circus & The Blawenburg Band

As part of the Summer Courtyard Concert Series at the Princeton Shopping, the Stone Soup Circus is a community run circus group will present students who have participated in their summer camp. On display will be the art of juggling, tumbling, partner acrobatics, globe-rolling, stilt-walking, uni-cycling, clowning and wire walking. In a double-billed event, enjoy the patriotic music of America with New Jersey’s most active and historic Community band, the Blawenburg Band.

All are invited to attend this FREE concert at the Princeton Shopping Center Courtyard, 301 North Harrison Street, Princeton.
