Collage/Mix Media/Museum

- $120

This new 1-day collage/mixed media workshop will be playful and informative for both the novice and a more experienced student. Working in abstract format, the workshop will begin with a demonstration of the use of collage materials, glues, and glazes. Layering and adding acrylic paints to the paper will add more dimensions. The group will stay aware of texture, tone, line, and color. Critiques of works will be ongoing during different stages of progress. A special feature of this workshop will be a visit to the world-acclaimed collection in the Princeton University Art Museum.

Students will bring at least one piece to completion by the end of the workshop.
Bring as many kinds of old and new papers as you can find and Mod Podge glue. Also bring 2 or 3 canvas boards or mixed media paper to use for a background. Bring some acrylic paints and brushes and any other media that interests you.

Drawing and Mixed Media Exhibition

Susan MacQueen

Susan MacQueen explores themes of community and individuality through the creation of images of sheep, which she sculpts, paints, or draws.

Fink

Hannah Fink works with a variety of found objects and recycled materials, forming garments that are often either enormous or diminutive in size. These objects hang from the ceiling, attach to the wall or are freestanding, with highly textured, nuanced surfaces that appear to be well-worn relics from a distant past.
