Princeton Variety Theater "Peter Pan" Auditions

- Free & Open to the Public!

In March 2016, The Arts Council of Princeton Variety Theater group will stage Peter Pan at the Princeton Public Pool: Pirates, Pandemonium and Panto! The first Audition session will take place on November 17 in the Solley Theater at the Paul Robeson Center for the Arts, 102 Witherspoon Street, NJ from 7 to 9pm.

This will be Princeton Variety Theater’s seventh show and our third Panto in the British style, following our success with Jack and the Beanstalk and Cinderella, the UGGly Version in 2014 and 2015.

In typical Panto tradition, we’re writing our own version of a well-known tale and adapting it for our local setting. Expect to see the tensions familiar to America’s best small town played out in song and plenty of gentle fun-poking at local institutions.

We are looking for actors, singers and dancers to perform in the show plus lots of backstage help: front of house, costume, stage management, lighting, sound, effects, props and more. Both adults and children are welcome. Rehearsals will start in the first week of December and continue through the first week of March with a Holiday break.

We’re staging the show at the Little Theater at Stuart Country Day School of the Sacred Heart on March 5 and 6.

To perform in the show, you must attend one audition. Audition dates are November 17 & 19. Adults and teens should attend the whole audition; younger children may leave at 8pm.
