We will need volunteers more than ever for the rescheduled date in October. We look forward to making volunteer information available shortly and thank the community for their support!

We need volunteers in the following areas:

EVENT SET UP

Enthusiastic volunteers will be directed by staffer Mark Germond. Volunteers will be deployed from the Arts Council building to various spots throughout the festival to help erect signage and ACP activity booth pop-up tents. Both adults and teens are welcome in this volunteer position, which has a minor physical aspect. Report to the Paul Robeson Center for the Arts at 102 Witherspoon St. by 10am.

ART ACTIVITIES

Art lovers, this one’s for you! Tables are set-up on Palmer Square Green for kids and kids-at-heart to do hands-on art projects throughout the day. This job entails rolling up kids’ sleeves, pouring paint, paste or the medium du jour, demonstrating the project, and keeping things rolling along. The table will have an artist/instructor lead. Report to the Arts Council building at 102 Witherspoon St, then report to the ACP’s tables on Palmer Square 15 min before your shift.

Volunteers are required to sanitize their hands before and during each shift (sanitizer will be provided). Report to the Arts Council building at 102 Witherspoon St, then report to the Cotton Candy station at least 15 min before your shift.

GREETERS/MAP HANDLERS

Greeters/Map Handlers will be posted at three “entrances” (Nassau/Chambers, Witherspoon/Robeson, Nassau/Washington) and several roaming throughout the event. As a greeter, you should ask attendees if they would like a map with an enthusiastic greeting and big smile. Report to the Arts Council building at 102 Witherspoon St, then report to the Cotton Candy station at least 15 min before your shift to pick up materials.

This is one of our most important roles on the big day. We have a huge need for volunteer photographers to take photos of all the amazing music, art, and general activity going on that day. Volunteer Photographers must be able to bring their own digital camera, be able to walk around the event for at least an hour taking photos, and download the images to a Dropbox folder or Google Drive by the following morning (Monday, April 27). Please report to the Arts Council building at 102 Witherspoon St. at least 15 minutes before your shift.

Please report to the Arts Council building at 102 Witherspoon St. at least 15 minutes before your shift.
