El Día de los Muertos (Day of the Dead)

The Arts Council of Princeton and the Princeton Shopping Center present the annual Day of the Dead celebration. Celebrate Mexico’s El Día de los Muertos with strolling mariachis, Mexican paper flower making, sugar skull decorating, professional face painting by Second Look Face Painting, and Mexican dishes offered by The Taste of Mexico.

No Día de los Muertos is complete without an altar and we invite you to be part of this beautiful tradition of honoring the lives of those who have passed away by bringing your ofrenda to lay out for the dead. Ofrenda are items that the spirits will enjoy when they come back to earth to visit their living families and friends. Starting on November 1, our altar will be outside of the Pop-Up Space at the Princeton Shopping Center. Please place your ofrenda on our altar. You may retrieve your ofrenda at the conclusion of our celebration on Sunday.
