Shibori/Dyeing: Watershed

- $130

Here is the workshop many have been asking for: a full-day at the Watershed doing scarf dyeing, Japanese patterning (shibori), discharge, turmeric dyeing and surface design, with master fiber artist Lian Sawires. We´ll even do a little Japanese marbling! Self-expression through scarf dyeing is a wonderful way to explore individual creativity while having fun and producing beautiful results. Learn the ancient arts of hand-dyeing and shibori during this hands-on 1-day workshop. Create three stunning or edgy scarves, learn dyeing methods for cotton, silk and rayon, pleating, wrapping, texture, layer dyeing and surface design. Develop a skill base for blooming your own creative process. No prior experience needed. Bring a lunch and your own fabrics to add to what we provide.  What you create will amaze you! $35.00 material fee payable directly to the instructor.
