Virtual Opening Reception: Annual Member Show- Free and Open to the Public!
< Back to All Events
Each year, the Arts Council welcomes our community of member artists to submit work to our Annual Member Exhibition. This year, our Taplin Gallery is filled with the most art ever submitted in the history of this tradition: more than 115 pieces created by our members are currently on view for our community to enjoy, including drawing, painting, photography, sculpture, textile art, and more.
We are pleased to invite you to join Adam Welch, Executive Director, and Maria Evans, Artistic Director, for a Virtual Opening Reception and gallery tour on Tuesday, December 8 at 7pm.
ABOUT THE 2020 MEMBER EXHIBITION:
If you’re like us, all you want right now is to see 2020 in the rearview mirror. Virus, politics, environmental chaos, lanternflies … there’s no doubt that it’s been a time of great anxiety and stress. During it all, making art has brought us together and kept us engaged in an otherwise isolated time. Whether you posted a doodle a day, experimented with clay, or mastered the color mixing of oil paints, art proved to be a powerful weapon in combating loneliness, boredom, and general helplessness. View more than 115 pieces of art submitted by members of our community reflecting on these themes, and help us show 2020 the door.
