Danielle Bursk: Drawings
Alan Kesselhaut: Photography

Award-winning photographer Alan Kesselhaut, founder of Princeton Photo Workshop, where he teaches classes on HDR techniques, Adobe Lightroom, Photoshop for Photographers and other photography subjects presents a photographic exhibition. One of the perennial obstacles for the photographer is the limitation of even the newest, most high-tech camera to capture a scene as we see it with our eyes. ICELAND, an otherworldly landscape with dramatic skies and unique light, presented a particular challenge. For the photos in this exhibit, Alan employed High Dynamic Range (HDR), a set of shooting and processing techniques, to compensate for the camera’s limitations. All are invited to attend an Artist Talk on Tuesday, June 30 at 7pm in the Princeton Public Library Community Room.

Danielle Bursk’s art is about accumulation and connection, concentrating primarily in drawing/painting and performance/video. She is known for her large-scale abstract ink drawings. Her work is primarily abstract and incremental; the accumulation of many small lines creating abstract forms that are suggestive of objects or landscapes. She relates her drawings to many things: nests, networks, webs, traps, nets, hair, vines, space, maps and more. Danielle’s work speaks to the inter-connectivity of actions and associations. “I frequently relate the action of making marks with the repetitive actions of my daily life. Seen separately, they have little consequence, but when overlapped and accumulated they become something of value.” All are invited to attend an Artist Talk on Tuesday, June 30 at 7pm in the Princeton Public Library Community Room.
