DESCRIPTION:It’s not always about butterflies! In celebration of National Moth Week\, Entomologist Alexander N. Rudin presents Moths in Art and Culture. From the macabre Death’s-head hawkmoth to the revered silkworm moth\, from the legendary Mothman to the titanic Mothra\, Rudin will take you on a journey through 6\,000 years of moths’ impact in culture. This program\, free and open to the public\, includes a special Flamenco dance tribute to silkworms by Lisa Botalico featuring Spanish silk shawls.
