SUMMARY:ART OF Hoop Dance & Flow Arts (ages 16+)
DESCRIPTION:Join us for a special event with with Jessie S Hoops (aka Jessie Schadt) of Dandelion Circus. Learn how to connect hula hoop tricks and skills together into a dance flow for self expression\, meditation\, fitness\, and fun! This style of dancing combined with manipulation of an object (like a hula hoop) is commonly known as the practice of “Flow Arts”. Flow Arts props can range from hula hoop(s)\, poi and flags\, to scarves\, ribbons\, and more! Participants should wear clothing that allows them to move comfortably and bring a water bottle. Hula hoops and other flow props will all be provided for use during the workshop. (For those that want to buy a hoop to continue practicing; the instructor will have some handmade hula hoops in various sizes available to purchase via Venmo after the workshop. Purchasing a hoop is not required!) No experience is necessary. This is a total beginner friendly workshop!
