My artwork is rooted in my Mexican heritage; inspired not only by the works created by the artists that I admire like Tamayo, Rivera, Zúñiga, Orozco, Siqueiros and others; but also by the work created by the artisans, street vendors and performers that populate my country.
In my art I try to capture the colors, textures, music, flavors and aromas of the street fairs and celebrations of Mexico like the “Dia de Los Muertos” , “Voladores de Papantla” , “La Danza del Venado” and so many other celebrations that have enriched my life and solidified the deep love and admiration I hold for my culture.
My art is an homage to México. I do this through the use of colors, textures and composition.
Raíces represents some of my earlier works where I utilized new digital technology that allowed me to experiment with my photos and illustrations.
