Story & Verse: A Storytelling, Poetic, and Spoken Word Open Mic

Welcome to Story & Verse, a monthly open mic showcasing regional storytellers, poets, and spoken word artists of all kinds. Story & Verse welcomes everyone, from beginners to published performers.

All are welcome to perform original works based on this month’s theme – BLESSINGS IN DISGUISE – to be interpreted as broadly as the performer wishes. Or, join our encouraging audience.

This outdoor event is held at the Pettoranello Gardens amphitheater, located in Community Park North at 20 Mountain Ave.

HOW TO PERFORM:

• Prepare a story, poem, or spoken word piece up to 5 minutes in length and related to the theme.
• Arrive by 5:45pm to add your name to the hat. No previous experience or pre-registration necessary.

Held every third Thursday of the month in partnership with Trenton Curator, Story & Verse is hosted by Brass Rabbit.
