Proceeds help support the Anne Reeves Artist-in-Residence program as well as our many outreach initiatives. \nSeeing with artist’s eyes makes the familiar both fun and inspiring on this multi-sensorial exploration of Princeton’s Nassau Street and Palmer Square.  \nA Culture Safari is an eye-opening experience that consists of exploring the street scene\, edgier shops\, alternative stores\, and cafes (where we will be tasting some hidden gem menu items!)\, while incorporating our tracking skills of slowing\, looking down\, and expanding perceptions to generate new insights and creative thinking.  \n“Information grows much faster in ‘hot spots’ where the thought of one person builds on that of many others. So\, where is the right place to be? Choosing the wrong environment will probably hinder the unfolding of creativity\, however\, occasionally a single experience of awe provides the fuel for a lifetime of creative work.” – Mihaly Csikszentmihalyi\, from his book “Creativity: the psychology of discovery and invention”  \nYour Guide\, Mikel Cirkus : As a modern anthropologist and self-proclaimed itinerant semiotician\, Mikel wades through the noise of society to find the signals that could dictate the next big consumer trend of tomorrow. Incorporating over thirty-years of global insights\, wisdom\, and experience with a truly creative lens\, Mikel uses strategic foresight to identify simultaneous developments on the fringe and recognizes patterns as they materialize into trends. DESCRIPTION:Princeton Porchfest has a NEW DATE and you’re invited!\nWe’re excited to bring Porchfest into a new season: Let’s celebrate five years of Porchfest together! Starting at noon\, multiple porches around town – generously lent by neighbors – will host sets of live music throughout the day. Most porches feature five sets each. A new act takes the stage on the hour\, every hour\, from 12-6pm. Bring a chair and make yourself comfortable at one location\, or wear your walking shoes and bop around from porch to porch. From classic rock and bluegrass\, to jazz\, singer-songwriter\, blues\, hip-hop\, and classical\, there’s something for everyone at Porchfest.
