Handmade Books III: Sculptural

- $75

Tunnel & Carousel Books – Sculptural Art Forms
Register for one, two or all three sections in this new three-part workshop in handmade books. Participants will create an array of books using a variety of techniques and materials. Each week, the instructor will introduce a new book design variation that will build on the previous class, but new students are welcome to join at any time. In this final session, students will learn techniques for creating tunnel books and carousel books. There will be discussions and examples that will elaborate on how book-making can be used in creating unique and individualized works of art
A materials fee of $15 is payable directly to the instructor.

Felted Bags

- $75

Participants in this new class will create a seamless felted bag (approximately 7″x 10″) with a shoulder strap. We will be using dyed carded wool, silk fabric for embellishment and soap and water to bring it all together. No previous felting experience is necessary but expect a bit of physical work while making felt. Please bring an old towel and a bar of soap to class. Materials fee: $15 (payable to instructor)
