Artist Winter village

Our artist winter village makes local shopping easier and more creative than ever!

These festive pop-up shops, run by talented regional creatives, offer fun and unique gifts in cozy textiles, jewelry, hand-poured candles, charming children’s wear, pottery, wood, and so much more.

Shop directly from makers working to bring us small business-driven joy!

Thanks to the Municipality of Princeton for generously supporting this project.

Hours:
From November 12 through December 20, four Chalets will be open for business Thursday through Sunday, 12-6pm.

In addition to the Chalets, fifteen additional artists will join the village on Saturdays and Sundays. Vendors change each week!

Getting around:
The Artist Winter Village is located on Hinds Plaza, next to Princeton Public Library (62 Witherspoon Street). Convenient parking can be found right next door in the Spring Street Garage, and there is additional parking located within the downtown area. Learn more.

vendor information:

  • We invite artists and makers to transform our 11×7′ “chalets” into their very own storefront in the heart of Downtown Princeton. The village is located on Hinds Plaza, a busy public square next to the Princeton Public Library.
  • Chalets are booked from Thursday-Sunday and vendors rotate weekly. When applying, you will be prompted to select each time slot you are interested in and available to attend. If accepted, you will be scheduled for one of the slots you have indicated. If you are accepted and can no longer commit to the slot you chose, there is no guarantee you will be rescheduled.
  • Artists are responsible for their own display, including tables, display stands, racks for cards, jewelry, etc. See basic measurements below. Nails or hooks can be used on the 2×4 framing boards inside the chalet.
  • Artists are responsible for staffing the Chalet for the duration of the business day.
  • It is the artists’ responsibility to have change to handle cash sales and a mobile device to accept credit cards. Free public WiFi will be available, but we ask that artists come prepared with a back-up plan for processing payments.
  • On Thursdays, we’ll be joined on the Plaza by our friends at the Princeton Farmers Market. You are not required to open for their 10am start time, but you’re very welcome to!
  • Artists may apply to vend in both a Chalet and as a booth in a different time slot.
  • The deadline to apply is Thursday, August 27.
