Since 1993, the ACP has partnered with HomeFront of Trenton to provide weekly, year-round arts instruction to more than 75 children, ages 5-18, whose families are currently living in transient circumstances.
HomeFront of Trenton is the largest provider of emergency and transitional housing in Mercer County and the ACP is proud to be one of the first cultural organizations to partner with them, weekly, for the past 21 years. A HomeFront staff member brings the children together with ACP faculty and visiting artists for a hands-on art experience and a hot meal, provided at cost by a consortium of local restaurants and grocers. Most often, the ArtsExchange sessions take place in the children’s art studio at the ACP’s Paul Robeson Center for the Arts in Downtown Princeton.
