Exhibition in celebration of the 50th Anniversary of the Arts Council of Princeton.
2017 year marks the 50th Anniversary of the Arts Council of Princeton! The year-long celebration includes a full schedule of events including a 50th Anniversary Invitational Exhibition, featuring work in the ACP’s award-winning Taplin Gallery and the Princeton Public Library from September 16 through October 7, 2017. Invited artists range in involvement with the Arts Council, from former Artists-in-Residence, to featured gallery artists, instructors, Terrace Project artists, and more.

The invitational exhibition continues with additional work on view in Princeton Day School’s Anne Reid ’72 Gallery from September 11 through October 5, 2017. Art will be available for sale at all three venues to help support Arts Council programming.

At a very young age, Gyuri Hollosy started his career in sculptured art and in the 1960’s, attended the Cleveland Institute of Art. Gaining an interest in sculptures, Gyuri began fusing materials together to create beautiful original sculpture artwork in the 1970’s. Gyuri’s artwork represents a philosophy, an emotion or a portrait of an influential figure or time period of our history. Since I was young I’ve been fascinated with how nature seems to have an overall “flow”, similar to how ocean waves are constantly changing the shoreline with each ebb and flow of the tide. WILD: Wildlife Paintings and Drawings
The Arts Council of Princeton of Princeton is pleased to present an exhibition of wildlife related artworks by Charles David Viera in support of the Wildlife Painting and Drawing class offered for adults. Horses, wolves, birds, and other animals are featured in these paintings and drawings for the aesthetic value and emotional impact that they inspire in this artist and longtime ACP instructor.
