At this time, the Arts Council is closely monitoring local and state safety guidelines around COVID-19 and patiently waiting for any announcement about the fate of in-person camps this Summer.

We are planning on holding summer camp online for camps beginning the weeks of Monday June 22 and Monday June 29. If you have enrolled in one of these camps with the Arts Council, you will receive an email by June 3rd with information on your options.

We will make decisions about in person July and August camps at least one month in advance of the start of that week’s camp. For instance, for camps beginning the week of Monday July 6th, we will make a decision by June 5th, at which point those relevant camps will be posted online, and all previously enrolled parents will be emailed.

Schedule for Online Camps:

We hope you and your children are able to join us this summer, as we continue our mission of ‘Building Community through the Arts’ and support our local art instructors.

We have something for everyone this summer with a wide variety of media, techniques, and subject matter!  All sessions are led by professional art instructors who will guide participants along the way to achieve individual creative goals while fostering group collaborations in a supportive environment.

5-6 year old camps will be 45 minutes to an hour long, and include activities, making art together, and reading stories, all tied into an overarching weekly theme, with one of our longtime teaching artists.

In an effort to minimize screen time for youngsters, online camps for ages 7+ will include separate morning and afternoon options. Parents have the option of enrolling their child in either the morning or afternoon session or both, which will run from 10-12pm and 1-3pm, respectively. Daily art making will include instructor demonstrations, informal critiques, and group art making sessions, all while maximizing interaction between other campers and the instructor.
