This mural is a tribute to all the folks who have made jaZams magical through their artistic abilities, playful personalities, and devotion to play, creativity, and reading. A months-long collaboration process between jaZams’ employees – artists and illustrators in their own right – led us to this design, a timeline of sorts. Each chalkboard artist took on a specific “toy time period”, celebrating the iconic play objects that consumed us in yesteryear.
JaZams, located at 25 Palmer Square E, is celebrating thirty years in Princeton! We invite you to help us mark this milestone: pop by the store to draw your favorite toy or book, and bring it back to slide in the frame in the middle of the mural. Snap a pic of your artistic addition and tag ACP at @artscouncilofprinceton so they can show you off!
Big thanks to our jaZamily, the artists behind this mural: Hailey Barlow, Christina Castro, Mark Chelminiak, Sarah Puzio, AJ Rodrigues, and Lydea Sophy.
