Space Rental

The Arts Council of Princeton is pleased to offer rental space for artists, arts educators, local non-profits and community groups. From recitals to rehearsals and performances, the Robeson Center for the Arts makes an outstanding venue for all kinds of gatherings.

Income from small gatherings to large receptions supports our mission of Building Community Through the Arts. The spaces can be adapted to accommodate a wide range of events. The Paul Robeson Center is the ideal location for: corporate breakfasts and luncheons, executive retreats, business meetings, cocktail receptions, buffets, private celebrations, screenings, lectures and birthday celebrations for both adults and children.

Rentals are available on a case-by-case basis – Please submit a space request form at least 45 days before the date you are interested in. Thank you for thinking of the Arts Council!

Submit space request form at least 45 days before the date you are interested in. If you have not received a response within 2 days, please follow up by calling Mini Krishnan at 609.924.8777 x 108.
Receive a quote and work out the details with a member of our staff.
Once details are in place, review contract
Return signed contract with the security deposit and 50% of balance due to officially book the space

Top Floor

Robert L. Solley Theater

Located on the top floor of Robeson Center, the Solley Theater is an excellent space for performances, recitals or corporate meetings. A Steinway B grand piano is also available for use in this space. Capacity is 100 seated in a theater audience configuration, 60 seated at tables, or 120 standing guests.

Andrew Siegal Gallery

The Andrew Siegal Gallery is spacious, with two walls of windows overlooking the Michael Graves Terrace. The Gallery can be used as a bar or refreshment station, or as a registration location for your event. Capacity of this space is 60 standing guests.

The Goreleigh Studio and The Anne Reeves Studio

Our studios – The Goreleigh Studio and Anne Reeves Studio – are located on the second floor, by the Solley Theater, adjacent to the Siegal Lobby. Named for our beloved founding director, the Anne Reeves Studio houses a large, round window that frames a picturesque view of downtown Princeton. These studios can be used for art workshops or sittings. For events that are catered, the Goreleigh Studio is ideal for food staging and prep with a sink and ample room for work tables. Capacity ranges from 12-20, depending on the use.

Communiversity Room

This signature round room overlooks picturesque downtown Princeton and serves as an entryway into the Anne Reeves Studio. Half of the circular wall houses the Kristina Johnson Art Library and the space is also home to the Ferris Olin Cultural Collaborative. This comfortable, functional, light-filled space is flexible in its use, perfectly accommodating informal group meals, meetings, or workshops . Comfortably seats around 24 people, depending on use of the space.

Main Floor

Didi and Jim Burke Studio

The Didi and Jim Burke Studio is a multi-use art space for children’s and adults’ classes. This space is ideal for team-building art experiences and can be used as a breakout space in conjunction with other rooms. Capacity of this space is 20 seated guests.

Lower Level

Lisa Botalico Dance Studio

On the lower level of the Robeson Center, the Lisa Botalico Dance Studio features a spring loaded wooden floor and an entire wall of mirrors. Capacity of this space is 30 standing guests.

Judith k. Brodsky print studio

Have a printmaking project but don’t have the space or tools to make it a reality? Rent our studio!

Children's Parties

Tired of the same old “cookie cutter” approach for your child’s birthday party? Have your child’s party at the Paul Robeson Center for the Arts and enjoy a customized, quality art experience led by a talented art instructor!

Please note: The Arts Council of Princeton will be closely monitoring local and state safety guidelines around COVID and following current New Jersey health guidelines. Lessee needs to follow all state level mandates (masks, occupancy, social distancing, etc.) or any mandates to the same that the Arts Council determines necessary for its operations (i.e. masks, occupancy, etc.).
