Hiring: Full-Time Marketing and PR Associate

Work in a dynamic, culturally rich arts organization in the heart of Princeton. The Arts Council of Princeton’s Marketing and PR Associate performs all such tasks related to the marketing, graphic design, website, social media and public relations of the ACP. This position reports to the Director of Development and Community Engagement, but works closely with all ACP departments.

Regular Hours: 40 hours per week; morning shifts, weekdays, some nights and weekends.

Start Date: Immediate

Specific responsibilities include:

  • Manage the ACP internal marketing calendar to promote programs, events, and education offerings
  • Coordinate the production of program and organizational print materials (including flyers, invitations, posters, monthly calendars) with ACP staff and graphic designer
  • Coordinate and prepare the online, public-facing Events Calendar
  • Coordinate and prepare print and online advertising and social networking activities
  • Prepare and distribute press releases and calendar listings; maintain press and media lists and keep current
  • Generate marketing copy and publicity for all Arts Council programs and events
  • Keep website content up to date
  • Provide administrative support to ACP program staff for program activities, as needed
  • Assist with the promotion and production of ACP fundraisers and community events
  • Attend events for social media exposure and to coordinate press engagement
  • Prepare the Arts Council’s weekly email-blast
  • Assist with preparation text (especially membership and fundraising) for annual reports and newsletters
  • Other duties, as directed.

The Marketing and Public Relations Associate uses many soft skills and industry knowledge to maintain our branding, including:

  • Proficiency with graphic design software
  • Proficiency with social media platforms
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to speak with all levels of employees, guests, vendors, and team members
  • Great time management, organization, and prioritization abilities
  • Knowledge of website design and web content management systems, such as WordPress
  • Keen attention to detail and efficient problem-solving skills
