08 Apr An office full of wonders
If you take a moment to look around our office you'll realize, our desks tell stories. So i (fiona) asked everyone to share their current favorite object in this ever rotating space.
Disclaimer: some of our desks are carefully curated. Others…well…let’s just call them “beautifully chaotic”. But all of them say something about the folks who keep this place humming.
Dave’s wall art provides an unexpected moment:
“This crocheted hammer created by Stephanie brings a bit of whimsy — softness where you expect strength.”
Emma has her favorite movie on display:
“Something about having this Dirty Dancing tape here is getting me into the Art People Party mood.”
Maria shares a sweet memorial:
“My friend and former Anne Reeves Artist-in-Residence, Victor Bell, created this perfect chihuahua sculpture of my beloved Calhoun who sadly passed away last summer. Having this here makes me feel like I still have Calhoun in my office, where he frequently visited.”
Melissa with a reminder for us all:
“Because…it’s April.” I have a feeling it might have something to do with our upcoming Porchfest event.
Mini’s elephant collection brings her joy:
“Elephants are my favorite wild animal. They are very intelligent.”
Liza is excited for her newest office addition:
“Who wouldn’t want water patterns across their walls? I can’t wait to try this out.”
These items are just a sneak peek into the people behind the programming, the emails, the installations, and the events. They reflect what we are currently thinking about, who or what we love, and how we move through the day (with creativity and collaboration top of mind, of course.)
