MLK Day Window Sign Making Workshop + Food Drive

January 19 @ 1:00 pm - 3:00 pm

Free

Join us as we celebrate the life and legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr with a community gathering and hands-on art making, free and open to all.

Window Sign Workshop:
At this community gathering, we’ll provide materials to design a sign to be placed in the window of your home, spreading MLK’s messages of peace and social justice with all passersby.

Draw, collage, color, and gather inspiration from iconic Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. quotes. Facilitated by ACP board members Aaron Fisher and Gregory Smith, you’ll begin with a provided template featuring an image and quote of MLK, or you can start from scratch to create your own design.

Button-Making:
Turn hand drawn designs into wearable 1″ or 2″ buttons!

Food Drive:
Bring pantry-stable goods for our MLK Day Food Drive. Goods will be made available in the Free Pantry outside ACP’s Paul Robeson for the Arts.

Light snacks will be available. While this program is free, but your RSVP helps organizers plan. Thank you!

Thank you to our generous event sponsor: Princeton University Office of Community and Regional Affairs.
