June 10-July 22, 2023 Opening Reception: Saturday, June 17 | 3-5pm
In collaboration with the YMCA’s Princeton Young Achievers, the Arts Council of Princeton’s Creative Friday class at the Pannell Center and our Wednesday class at Princeton Community Village’s Crimmins Center share their stories about their life growing up in Princeton and their hopes for the future.
The exhibition is a reflection of the powerful forces that connect us all through living in the same town we all call ‘Home’. Teaching artist Veronica Olivares-Weber worked with the students to create these three-dimensional papier mâché homes using recyclable materials, like cigar boxes, local newspapers, and cardboard. Each home represents a unique story of families living, working and striving to find their place within Princeton and their love for this community. Princeton is My Home exhibition invites us to celebrate our diverse communities and reflect on the importance of unity, support and above all, a safe place to live.
