Seed to Plate: Local Food, Local Art

November 6 @ 6:30 pm - 8:30 pm

$175

Enjoy a hyper-local, farm-fresh dinner in handmade ceramic tableware.

The Arts Council of Princeton and Nancy Hackett, Fall ’25 Artist-in-Residence, present a special dining opportunity in our Taplin Gallery that will entice foodies and green thumbs alike.

Celebrating Nancy’s love of art, farming, and all the seasonal goodness we are fortunate enough to embrace here in Central Jersey, Seed to Plate: A Local Food Experience is limited to a lucky 25 guests.

Chef Gabby Aron, owner of Autumn Olive Food Works, has created an original menu showcasing the jewels of our local organic farms, including Fairgrown Farm of Pennington, Zell’s Farm of Hillsborough, and Chickadee Creek of Pennington. Fresh bread will provided by Sourland Bread, ice cream by Princeton’s own and nationally-revered the bent spoon, and wine by Working Dog Winery of Hightstown.

Each diner will enjoy an unforgettable meal and take home works created by Nancy specifically for and inspired by this event: a ceramic plate, a screen-printed napkin, and a wealth of knowledge about seeds and our local food sources, gathered literally from our own backyards.

Guests will also be treated to fabulous guest speaker Tessa Desmond, director of The Seed Project at Princeton University, a 3.5 acre farm focused on cultivating and preserving rare, culturally significant, and diverse crop varieties.

Tickets are available on a first-come, first-served basis:

The Anne Reeves Artist-in-Residence Program, named after ACP Founding Director, was established by the Arts Council in 2009 to offer artists the opportunity to conceptualize and create work while providing the community with creative interaction with working artists in all disciplines. This project would not be possible without the support of Timothy M. Andrews, longtime supporter of the Arts Council of Princeton, who has generously underwritten the Anne Reeves Artist-in-Residence program.
