The scenes and characters Geneva Anastasio creates represent the unique and diverse ways we experience life, as it is our significant experiences that mold our behaviors, perceptions, and responses. Her intention is to encourage genuine curiosity and open mindedness about all those around us.

Bette Blank paints to tell a story, to capture a feeling, to have you see the world through her eyes. Using pattern, color and composition to achieve her goal, Blank works oil paint, egg tempera, watercolor, gouache, clay and wood. Everyday experiences like going to the dentist, getting a manicure, eating sushi, or visiting a shoe salon are her favorite subjects.
Anastatio and Blank’s dual exhibition, Faces, Places, and Unexpected Stories, is on view in our Taplin Gallery.

As a visual artist, Spriha Gupta strives to bring organic forms onto canvas through mixed media. Her primary source of inspiration is nature in all its forms. She repurposes found objects and gives them a second life in most of her pieces. Maintaining the balance of nature is the core of her existence, and she expresses this need through her art. We all can see the effects of climate change, and she argues it is for every individual to be aware and process the harmful effects of global warming to work towards a better future for future generations. This way, she hopes to maintain a world full of color rather than encouraging a grey, lifeless future.
Her solo exhibition, Regreening Through Art: Seeking a Symbiosis Between Humans and Nature, is on view in our Siegel Lobby Gallery.
