Five years ago, the Arts Council of Princeton launched the ART OF series with a bold idea: reimagine what a fundraiser could be. Instead of a single night of giving, we created a year-round collection of fun, more affordable, and culturally rich experiences that connect our community to the passions and expertise of regional creatives and thought leaders.

Princeton Porchfest

View event webpage

Let’s celebrate five years of Porchfest together! Starting at noon, multiple porches around town – generously lent by neighbors – will host sets of live music throughout the day. Most porches feature five sets each. A new act takes the stage on the hour, every hour, from 12-6pm. Bring a chair and make yourself comfortable at one location, or wear your walking shoes and bop around from porch to porch. From classic rock and bluegrass, to jazz, singer-songwriter, blues, hip-hop, and classical, there’s something for everyone at Porchfest. Stroll around town to hear live local talent, grab a bite, drink, or coffee from one of Princeton’s amazing small businesses, and take in all the joyful energy that has made Porchfest a community tradition.

Princeton is the proud home of talented home cooks and professional chefs. In this collaborative event, held by the Arts Council of Princeton and Historical Society of Princeton, we’re putting their skills to the test. Who will be named Princeton Chili Champion?!

Join us at HSP’s Updike Farmstead for a good old-fashioned Chili Cook-Off where you will enjoy samples from professional and amateur chefs before casting your vote. Make a day of it and pack a picnic blanket or lawn chairs and a favorite game. Beer and lemonade will be available for sale, but feel free to round out your lunch with any additional snacks. Live music and family-friendly activities and games will complete this festive fall day on the farm!

Day of the Dead at the Arts Council of PrincetonDay of the Dead Community Celebration
Saturday, November 1, 2026  |  1-3pm

Celebrating El Día de Los Muertos, or Day of the Dead, has been an Arts Council tradition for over 20 years!

Observed in Mexico and throughout the world in early November, the holiday is a time for family and friends to remember loved ones who have passed. Traditions include parades and the construction of private altars using sugar skulls, marigolds, and favorite foods in memory of those we’ve lost.

We invite you to learn about this culturally rich holiday by joining us for a free, family-friendly festival. We’ll create crafts inspired by traditional Mexican folk art, decorate sugar skulls, enjoy live music by a mariachi band, create a community altar, and more!
